About me: Hi! I'm Melissa! As you saw on the main page, I'm the Owner & Founder of MH Style Consulting. I have been in the fashion industry for over 23 years in various roles such as retail sales and management, merchandising, styling, and events including fashion show production! I'm from Minnesota, but spent my college years in Phoenix. I then moved to Miami where I stayed until I moved back to Minneapolis-St. Paul in 2015.

When I'm not working, I'm either practicing my green thumb, reading a book, listening to music, relearning the piano or my Español skills, or I'm outside laying by a pool or at a park with my toddler.​ 

 

Clients I work with: As of summer 2026, I'll be closing my client list and solely focusing on them along with their referrals. For the time being, I'll only be accepting new Personal Branding clients as I also launch my Life Coaching & Fashion Business Coaching programs. When I do work with new clients, I work with men and women in all shapes, sizes, styles, budgets & professions - entrepreneurs as well as business professionals. This includes: Real estate agents, teachers, creatives, Corporate America & executives - if you have a job, you have a personal brand ;)

Working style: I ask a lot of qualifying (holistic) questions throughout your experience. This is not only to get to know the authentic you, but also to get you thinking about your self-image and identity. I also love to go on a style journey with clients, including the introduction of color! When I work with a client, I always teach them the 'why's' to everything - my goal is for you to understand your body shape and aesthetic so you're comfortable shopping and styling on your own when I'm not available. ​​
