About: Hi! I'm Melissa! As you saw on the main page, I'm the owner of MH Style Consulting. I have been in the fashion industry for over 20 years in various roles such as retail sales and management, merchandising, styling, events including fashion show production and more! I'm from MN, but spent my college years in Phoenix. I then moved to Miami where I stayed until I moved back to Minneapolis in 2015.

When I'm not working, my husband and I are probably planning where we're traveling to next that's warm and tropical or I'm snuggling with my black rescue cat, Schnookums, and reading a book ;) If it's the summer time, I'm at the pool or beach for sure.

Location: I offer services all over the state of MN as well as virtually, but I'm located out of the Southeast burbs. Because I travel all the time, I do accept appointments while I'm in town too - Visit my Traveling Stylist Tour Dates.

 

Clients: I work with both men and women who are re-branding themselves or going through a life change whether it's with their professional life or personal life. This includes young professionals, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents going back into the work world, people coming out from a traumatic experience, weight loss/gain, all the up to the empty-nesters who can finally take care of themselves. I also LOVE to work with clients that need a one-off special event outfit. I work with all shapes, sizes and budgets from thrifting to Marshalls, Express or J. Crew, all the way up to Nordstrom.

Philosophy & Style of Work: I really love to promote confidence, empowerment, and self-care while focusing on the psychology behind fashion so you not only look good, but you FEEL good too! I love to teach my clients as if it's a workshop because I want them to feel confident in dressing themselves when I'm not there. I also love to work with COLOR to help enhance my clients mood and mental health.

Appointments: I typically take appointments Tuesday-Thursday during the day with evenings being available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However,  I can sometimes accommodate other days of the week. For 30 minute Virtual Styling Consults, click here.
